IBS 2019 recap

IBS 2019 Recap

The Window and Door Shop attended IBS (International Builder’s Show) for the first time this year in Las Vegas. This is a massive event, bringing together all the top window and door manufacturers in the world. We had the opportunity to meet, connect, and chat with many of our manufacturers. Lots of new products were on display, highlighting some of the biggest trends for 2019 and beyond. To share with you what we saw, we’re posting our IBS 2019 recap.

Kolbe’s Sliding and Exterior Doors Wow

There were more than 1,500 exhibitors at this year’s event and over 100,000 attendees. We were able to make it through most of the exhibitors and enjoyed a great night at the Kolbe event. Large windows and sliding doors were a big trend at the event, and Kolbe showed off many options. These windows and doors make a great addition to any home with a view. Kolbe also showcased their entry doors and highlighted some custom solutions in their booth, including a new pivot door that opens easy and creates a very contemporary vibe.

Marvin’s New Modern Windows

Marvin’s booth had lots of impressive displays and featured their new modern collection, which launched in late 2018. The windows have a minimalist frame made with high-quality fiberglass and an aluminum interior. The windows allow three more inches of visibility than other frames.

TruStile High Design Interior Doors

We are a big fan of TruStile doors. They are well-made and include so many design features. One thing in their booth that was unique was their flush wood interior doors. These modern doors have hand-matched veneers to bring about the character of each door.

Masonite Delivers New Designs

Masonite took the opportunity to highlight some new designs at IBS 2019. They debuted new glass and frame options for exterior doors as well as a new interior door, the Livingston, which is a molded three-panel equal interior door. The company also introduced a new warm-edge flexible spacer for sidelites on residential doors.

Western Windows Shows Off New Indoor-Outdoor Solutions

Western Windows showed off their new indoor-outdoor solutions at IBS 2019. These doors were featured in the Show Village and covered a variety of styles from modern to traditional. These new offerings offer even more amazing solutions from this high-end brand.

We enjoyed attending IBS 2019 and brought home lots of ideas. Contact us today to talk about your project and what new trends are hot this year.
